Key, Cabinet or Box, ca. 1st-3rd Cent. AD

Copper alloy; 35mm/4.43gm. Cleaned but not waxed.

Seller's Note/ Ancient Romans used such tiny keys to lock away their precious valuables in small boxes made either of wood or metal. But, do to the utter simplicity of this key, I doubt the the contents were very valuable. Cabinet keys like this are quite scarce in such condition.
