Julia Mamaea, Sestertius, Venus reverse!

Æ; 30mm/14.6gm   Mint of Rome, ca. 228-229 AD

Con/ Struck on a mis-shaped flan and a blemish on the obverse, otherwise, Good Very Fine. Minimal earthen deposits, eye pleasing and sound green patina. The reverse figure of Venus is a jaw-dropper.

Obv/ JVLIA MAMAEA AVGVSTA; draped busr right.

Rev/  VENVS VICTRIX S C; Venus standing left holding helmet & scepter, shield at feet.

Seller's Note/ The only reason that we noted this issue as "uncleaned" are the earthen deposits on to either side. Time for some cleaning needles! Have fun!
