Con/ As Cast: thick red and green patina, attachment pin in place; Better in hand!

Description; Obv/ Griffin crouching left, tail raised behind, wing open. Rev/ Sinuous S shapes.

Seller's Note/ The Avars loved their bling and this is no exception. Such strap ends were affixed to the back of their belts as to dangle and flash, making a jingling sound as they rode along. 

Imagine the jolly and jingling Avars sweeping into your town or village...and burning it to the ground.
