Con/ Ribbon torn but with original pin clasp, otherwise, about As Cast. Struck in high relief, with beautiful old cabinet toning.

Obv/ LIBERTY MEMORIAL KANSAS CITY MO; Lady Liberty standing left, raising torch and holding palm branch; to right, small village; to right, graves marked with a cross, dough-boy helmets and a fallen rifle; behind, a wheeled canon.

Seller's Note/ Commemorative medal from the November 1, 1921 dedication of the World War I Memorial in Kansas City. This medal is from the earlier 1921 groundbreaking ceremony and the memorial was not completed and formally dedicated until 1926. WOW!
