Ave!

Mr. Roeder is such a genius with copper alloy artifacts...such as seen in the first photo of a zoomorphic bird brooch that was missing the enameling upon arrival. He added new enameling, removed the pin and spring, cleaned and then replaced them.

The 2nd example is another bird brooch that was missing it's head, spring and pin, and the pin catch plate. Look at it now. Amazing!

The 3rd example is a Celtic swastika brooch that was missing one head and the pin catch that would have been attached to the missing head. Wow!

The next example is not copper alloy, but rather an Ottoman lead cylinder seal that arrived crushed flat as a pancake and looking hopeless for restoration. Not! See it after David's restoration.

All that being said, David is a good guy...square and on the level. And speaking of square and on the level, see his reconstruction of a balance scale, all from original Roman artifacts, other than the chains and the stand itself. Nice!

Feel free to write to him concerning anything you need restored to perfection! His email address is: [email protected]
