Odd Signs We've Seen...Part #2
#1 -As seen, this first one is a real hoot, shot at the airport at St. Maartins Island, Carribean. The jets were coming in for a landing only 200 feet overhead!
#2 -The "Hurricane" sign is from St. Eustatius, Carribean.
#3 -Yucatan, Mexico. If your don't read Spanish, it reads: "Welcome to the largest cave in Yucatan, the Cuy family." Suckers for this sort of adventure, we followed a teenage boy with a lantern deep underground, slipping and sliding all the way. When it was time to go back, Sheri headed up a very slippery incline, got nearly to the top, slipped, fell on her ass and slid all the way back down. Unfortunately, I had to laugh. Huge mistake. Enough said.
#4 -17 years ago on our honeymoon on the big island of Hawaii. About two to three minutes later, we both had to flee; the sign was correct.
#5 - 'Cannonball Mural' We came across this mural in a hotel restaurant in southern Quintana Roo, Mex. It concerns the Maya upraising against the Spanish in the early 1800's. Oddly enough, we didn't find seeing the cannonball piercing the fellow's chest very appitizing at breakfast. LOL!
#6 - This photo is from a small village in Yucatan; 'Coke! It's the real thing!' no matter where you travel, huh?
