Silvered Æ3; 18mm/3.0gm, struck 319 AD

Con/ complete and crisp legends, perfect centering on both sides, glossy dark green patina beneath silver highlights. Two small 'digger blemishes' on each side, otherwise extremely fine.

OBV/ IMP CONSTANT-INVS MAX AVG; laur. helmeted and cuir. bust r.

REV/ VICTORIAE LAETAE PRINCE PERP; twin Victories holding a shield inscribed with VOT PR on an altar inscribed with a C.

Ticinum Mint; ST in exergue

Ref/ RIC Vol VII Ticinum 90 = Rare 2

Seller's Note/ On the reverse, please note that the Victory on the left is actually presented holding a stylus, or other tool, in the very act of inscribing. As far as we know, only the minters of Ticinum added this detail.
