Seller's Note/ After the death of Domitian, the wise and aged Nerva only served as emperor for one and a half years. No fool, during his short term, he stuck coins to commemorate Augustus, as a reminder to the citizens of Rome that he too, and his adoptive son, Trajan, would now rule without the heavy-handed oppression of the three previous Flavian emperors.
