Seller's Note/ Providentia was the Roman personification of Foresight...but unfortunately the Roman citizens weren't feeling much about his "foresight" and neither did his grandmother, Julia Maesa. Embarrassed and fed up by the antics of Elagabalus, she forced a coup that deposed him and Julia Soaemias, in favor of her other grandson, Severus Alexander one year after this issue was struck in 222 AD. Bet he didn't see that one coming!
