Roman Cavalry Heart-shaped Harness Pendent

Seller's Note/ This is stout and heavy pendent was cast in a slightly convex curvature. Now note the odd little dimple in the middle of the obverse; it is certainly too concentric to have been simple plow damage. Almost invisible on the reverse and exactly matching the obverse dimple is another slightly out-dented section.

Just theorizing, but did the Legionary smith who cast this pendent actually sign it with his logo, much like a counter-mark? If so, it's extremely and over-the-top rare. If not, I'm full of crap and don't know what I'm talking about. LOL!
