Ave!
Key Ring, Simplistic, circa 1st-2nd Cent AD
Copper alloy; 29mm/7.0gm
Con/ A few minor inclusions, otherwise, As Cast and Engraved; eye-pleasing green patina; cleaned and waxed.
Seller's Note/ A choice example of a very a simple ring key that was used to keep things secret and safe by well-to-do ancient Romans. Most likely it was used to lock a small ornamental box filled with precious valuables such as documents, etc.
Such ring keys were worn on a chain or strap about the neck, but if you are so inclined, it's a ring size 4.
