Con/ Missing pin and spring, otherwise, As Fabricated; dark brown patina with copper highlights, cleaned and waxed

Seller's Note/ Such brooches were worn by invading Germanic tribes, including those within the Hunnic confederation. Very scarce!

The real question here is why a fly or cicada on a brooch? Perhaps there were so many of them in their dark forests? Your guess is as good as ours...
