Ave!
Ring, Medieval, Men's, with 'Fleur-de-Lis' Intaglio, ca 16th-17th Cent
Copper alloy; 4.6gm, Ring size 10
Con/ As Fabricated; wearable, for sure
Description/ Engraved and raised round bezel, clear and crisp lily flower, and further engravings about the band; dark green patina.
Seller's Note/ The purity of the 'Fleur-de-Lis' or Lily Flower was, and still is, the symbol of the Virgin Mary. Due to the size and heft of this ring, we surmise it was worn by a man, and possibly as a signet to seal documents, letters, etc.
