Ave!
Ring, Medieval, Men's, Merchants Signet, 13th-16th Cent
Copper alloy; 5.0gm, Ring size 11
Con/ sound and wearable
Description/ One piece casted and engraved bronze. Large letter "T" with crosshatching, engraved with decorative Lombardic script, flanked by four pellets, all within a round engraved border.
Pollio suggests that such signet rings were not used as the owners initial, per se, but rather by a certain guild of merchants in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. Sadly, who such merchants were, and their products, has been lost to time.
Rings were made to be worn, not tucked away. The longer you wear it the better it will look!
