Ave!

Ring, Medieval, Men's, Walking Stork Intaglio, ca. 11th-16th Cent

Copper alloy; 6.4gm, Ring size 9

Con/ Band slightly non-centered, otherwise, As Cast and Engraved; wearable.

Description/ Two-headed Stork (?) on a round shaped bezel facing (?); tail feathers and three quarter moons above; below, two wings; decorated shoulders on the band.

Seller's Note/ Are you kidding me right now? A stork with two heads and no legs? No matter which way we view it, it still appears the same...and that is crazy cool! Most likely custom made and engraved for the owner.

This ring was found in the very same farm fields as similar 'walking stork motif' rings also presented in our shop. But why such walking storks? In medieval times, as well as now, storks were a symbol of good luck, longevity, and when they returned to their nests it was Spring and time to plant your crops.

Certainly wearable, this unisex ring needs a happy finger.
