Seller's Note/ Obsidian was rare in the Maya lowlands and not available except via trade. Their nearest resource for such was from the Valley of Mexico nearly 850 miles to the Maya cities modern Belize. We have no explanation as to why these valuable tools were disregarded in the tool shop other than the knapper was not pleased with his result.
