Roman Lead Seal, Camel, c. 1st-4th Cent AD

Lead alloy; 20mm/9.8gm

Con/ Perfect golden-brown patina on both sides.

Seller's Note/ Such Roman seals are always problematic/moot. Who used a camel as their personal seal? Perhaps a merchant trading out of Syria or Egypt? Our best guess that he wasn't located in Gaul. ;-) Delightful and collectable!
