Ave!

Seal, Two-sided, C. 2nd-3rd Cent, Rare

Lead alloy; 17mm/7.8gm

Con/ As Cast

Obv/ Laur. bust right, with curly hair and beard.

Rev/ Bearded figure in military dress standing left, leaning on shield.

Seller's Note/ Nearly all ancient merchants seals are only one-sided, the other a simple dome shape. As seen in the photo, ours is two-sided and that is rare, trust me. Most likely, this seal was used for official imperial documents, letters, etc. Possibly from one of the Severan era emperors?
