Con/ A few minor scrapes, otherwise, As Fabricated; original spring and pin, residual traces of tinning seen on the reverse

Ref/ Hattatt 171 - noted as an unclassified bow brooch

Seller's Note/ Brooches similar to these were worn by Romano/Celtic soldiers and citizens in Roman Pannonia and Dalmatia. Whether or not this is a zoomorphic motif is moot, but it does display wonderful sinuosity. Scarce.
