Beaded Doll or Infants Moccasins, ca. mid to late 19th Cent

These dear-hide and beaded (lazy bead stitiched) moccasins have been in our family for as long as I can remember.

Provenance/ My mom told me that her father William Wootten found them half-buried in a cliff-dwelling ca. 1905 in western Colorado.

The bead work is excellent and the dear hide is still quite supple. The binding leather strings are still woven together as they were found. Possible Ute or Navaho origin.
