Ave!
Pendent Amulet, Sun, Greek/Scythian, ca. 5th-3rd Cent BC, Rare!
Cast Lead; 33mm/6.9gm
Con/ Small break at the center, otherwise, As Cast; brown lead patina
Description/ Sun symbol within circling horns (?); the reverse is unadorned.
Seller's Note/ Ground-found in Ukraine, near the ancient Greek Colony city of Olbia, we need not remind you that such Sun images, throughout all antiquity, were worn to not only ward off evil influences, to bring good luck, and as an homage to the Sun (Helios?) deity, as well. This particular artifact was certainly a pendent with the loop still intact.
