Faustina Senior, Sestertius, Commemorative, Ceres Reverse

Æ; 34mm x 4mm/21.9gm  Mint of Rome, struck after AD 141

Con/ Semi-cleaned, sharply struck, perfectly centered on each side (note the dotted borders) and complete legends. Green patina with small specks of dirt and soft blobs of mud

Obv/ DIVA FAVSTINA; draped bust right

Rev/ AVGVSTA S-C; Ceres standing left, holding corn-ears in extended right hand and long torch in left

Seller's Note/ Presented 'as arrived', this sestertius is truly spectacular, as is. We could clean it and double our listed price, but where is the fun in that, right?
