This coin was originally struck during the reign of King Leucon II, ca. 230-220 BC and began its history as:

Obv/ Head of young Herakles in a lion-skin headdress right Rev/ BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛEYKΩNOΣ, club and bow Ref/ Anokhin (Bosp.86') 134

Then, around 80 years later, it was over struck during the reign of King Paerisades III as:

Obv/ Head of Apollo in laurel wreath right

Rev/ Grain ear

Ref/ Anokhin #169 var.

Seller's Note/ In the photo it's easy to see the two face on the obverse. The reverse features the club and bow between the grain ear. Astonishing!
