Ave!
Dubrovnik, Bead Decorative Silver Pendant, c. 15th-17th Cent
Silver Bead; 22mm/3.2gm
Con/ wearable, cleaned and waxed, a few dings and wrinkles, but, hey, you'd have a few wrinkles if you were 500 years old, too. :-)
The silver smiths in the medieval city of Ragusa (Dubrovnik) began to produce these beads way back in the mid-1400s and still continue to this day. Dubrovnik-style beads caught on with other silver smiths throughout the Balkans and Eastern Europe and became very popular during medieval times. Sheri says that this could also serve as an earring (click here for another match) or look very cool on a charm bracelet.
