Seller's Note/ This is a historically important issue! The reverse legend equates to "Protector of the City's (Rome) Customs". This title was used by both Maxentius & Constantine I in their revolt in Rome and Italy against the tetrarchs in the East. 

In hand, all the reverse descriptions are easily seen, including the Victories in the acroteria, which is just a fancy way of saying 'free standing statues' in just one word, and the wolf and twins in the pediment
