Copper alloy; 90mm/36.6gm

Con/ Top loop worn from wear, otherwise, As Cast; dark green patina, cleaned, not waxed.

Seller's Note/ NRC has never seen anything like this over all the years, but everything about this artifact screams Celtic; from the pelta designs above the bar, to the bull horns or crescent moon (or both combined) below the central bar. As noted above and seen in the photo, the loop has been worn thin from years (perhaps generations?) of use that was not caused from a leather thong, but rather from a copper alloy ring connected to the top.

So, who wore this ancient and powerfully symbolic pendent? The answer is moot as NRC can only conjecture. Our best guess is that it worn by either a shaman, male or female, who had such enough high status that it became a generational heirloom.

Extremely Rare, this pendent was ground found in a Celtic settlement south of the River Drava.
