These are 100% authentic coins from the time of Jesus Christ, struck in the Holyland, nearly 2,000 years ago.

'Pontius Pilate is chiefly known for the roll he played in the trial and crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Known only from the New Testament, his coins and a single stone discovered in 1961 inscribed with Pilate's name and "PRAEFECTUS IVDAEAE," which is now in the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.' -- Guide to Biblical Coins by David Hendin.

This coin was struck c. 29 -30 AD and was certainly in circulation in Judea during the time of Jesus Christ and his Apostles.
