Seller's Note/ Okay, hold the phone! "Venus, naked to waist...?" Not on our coin as Venus is seen with full on booty showing!

As you all know, the ancient Romans has some scandalous paintings and night time adventures, but they were extremely conservative with images on their coins...unlike the ancient Greeks who had no shame, just exuberance. :-)

This is a perfect example of how Greek celetors at an official Roman eastern mint used their own depiction of Venus/Aphrodite in a very high and very elegant style.
