Seller's Note/ As to who wore this ring, it's use, and the cross symbology, is moot. A clergyman, perhaps? The cross is carved deep enough that it could have been used as a seal. Now, the six-pointed star symbol is common enough and has been found on the walls of the catacombs in Rome but not with the crook-ends. Very rare! Rings were made to be worn, not tucked away.
