Ring, Medieval, Men's, Walking Stork Intaglio, ca. 11th-16th Cent

Silver alloy; 7.6gm, Ring size 10

Con/ This ring arrived nearly broken in half and has been restored to 'as cast' condition by our master smith colleague. Certainly wearable, this unisex ring needs a happy finger.

Description/ Stork on a lozenge shaped bezel facing to its left.

Seller's Note/ This ring was found in the very same farm fields as similar 'walking stork motif' rings also presented in our shop. But why such walking storks? In medieval times, as well as now, storks were a symbol of good luck, longevity, and when they returned to their nests it was Spring and time to plant your crops.
