Ring, Roman, Unisex, with Lapis Lazuli Jewel, ca. 3rd-1st Cent BC (Roman Republican era)

Copper alloy; 6.6gm/ Ring size 6 3/4, the jewel is certainly lapis lazuli

Con/ "As Cast"; cleaned and certainly wearable

Seller's Note/ This ring has the typical compressed shape of the era and has not been bent. The stone is original (Roman glue was tough stuff) and has been re-polished to "like new" condition. Lapis lazuli was quite rare in Roman times; the only source for lapis was Afghanistan. Most likely, this ring was worn by a Roman man...but perhaps you have a lady in mind to wear it?

Rings were made to be worn, not tucked away. The longer this ring is worn the better it will look!
