Celtic Proto Ring Money with Multiple Knobs, c. 600-400 BC
Copper alloy; 26mm/3.6gm; Green patina, semi-cleaned, not waxed.
The ring has a scarce multiple knobbed design and was used as currency before the introduction of struck coins in the Eastern Danube region and the Black sea area by the Eastern Celts.
Found in a small Celtic settlement located on the southern bank of the Drava River.
Very rare and museum quality.
