Roman Cosmetic or Medical Spoon (Ligula), Unbroken, 1st-3rd Cent.
Copper alloy; 13.5CM/9.5gm
Con/ As cast; dark green patina
Seller's Note/ Such ligula were used to extract cosmetics or medical unguents from narrow glass vials or pyxis jars. Please note the knobby bits near the spoon terminal. Purely conjecture from our end but perhaps this spoon was used something syrupy..like honey?
