Helmet, Universal Washer, c. 1st-2nd Cent AD

Copper alloy; 21mm/1.5gm

Con/ A few dings about the edge, otherwise, as fabricated; green patina, cleaned, not waxed.

Ref/ A&L AA.4.20 variety

Seller's Note/ All remnants from Roman helmets are scarce to rare. Over all these years, NRC has offered only a few of such, and this helmet washer is real gem. An excellent opportunity for any Roman militaria collector. If you are new to collecting Roman military artifacts and are unfamiliar with universal washers and how they were connected to helmets, see the accompanying photo.
