Ave!

A Quintet of Roman Vessel Adornments, c. 1st-3rd Cent

Copper alloy; each at c. 50mm/60gm

Con/ unbroken, green patina and lots of residual original solder on the reverses.

Seller's Note/ The vine leaves would have been soldered to the sides of a large and ornately decorated bronze bowl used for mixing wine with water, then served to family and guests. The trapezoidal shaped adornment is much more rare as vine leaves are more common.
