Seller's Note/ The pattern of this brooch emulates the gates to a Roman camp, watch tower, fortress, or a city gate. In the accompanying photo, note the three watch-fire turrets at the top, exactly as seen on this brooch. 

Such "campgate" brooches are extremely rare, folks; this is only the 2nd one we have ever presented.
