Ave!
DIY, A Pair of Roman Wine Vessel Adornments, c. 1st-3rd Cent
Copper alloy; each at c. 40mm/42gm
Con/ A few minor plow nicks, otherwise, as cast. Green patina and lots of residual original solder on the reverses.
Seller's Note/ These vine leaves would have been soldered to the sides of a large and ornately decorated bronze bowl used for mixing wine with water, then served to family and guests.
For cleaning, just sift dirt; you know the drill. When done, wax and buff to make them sing. Click below as an example of how these will clean up.
