Razor, Eagle-headed, Officer's, c. 2nd-3rd Cent, Excessively Rare

Copper Alloy; 50mm x 56mm/31.0gm

Con/ Missing iron blade, otherwise, as cast; choice green patina, residual iron rust remains

Seller's Note/ As seen in the second photo, this beautiful and well-crafted 3D razor has a split/cleft at the bottom where the iron razor blade would have been affixed and clamped into place. Our surmise that this razor was owned by a Roman officer is simply that typical Roman razors were rather basic in shape. Only the wealthy could have had the denarius to purchase, and use, such a fancy razor like ours.
