Seller's Note/ The god Pan in Greek mythology was the Lord of the Wild. But as ancient empires began to grow, the wild suffered, as did Pan’s life essence. In the 1st century AD, a passing ship off the coast of Ephesus, headed to Italy heard the cry “The Great God Pan is dead!” The source of the voice was never discovered, but the message was passed on from ship to ship to one voice to another.
Even if the Great God Pan really died 2 thousand years ago, his adherents did not, as presented in this very rare, perhaps and unique necklace amulet.
