Ring, Islamic, Sorcerers, Magic Square

Æ; 10.4gm  Bezel 21mm x 19mm  Ring size 10 1/4  ca. 10th Century AD

Con/ A tiny chip on the bezel, otherwise, As Cast and engraved. Stout, heavy, ready to wear.

Description/ Nine blocks of mystic symbols in three rows within a rectangular bezel decorated with a floral motif. Uncertain further mystic symbology to either side of the band below the bezel

Seller's Note/ Such early Islamic rings feature Hindu-Arabic numerals arranged in a magic square. In early Islamic mysticism, such numerical formulas endowed the wearer with the ability to communicate with Djinn, Efreets and other spirits.

Extremely rare in such sublime condition, trust me. And if you Dare to Wear? Be careful what you call up if you cannot put it down...just saying. :-)
