Ring, Greek/Romano, Men's, with Artemis/Diana intaglio, Wow!

Copper alloy; Ring size 6 3/4 / 8.2gm     ca. 3rd Cent BC - 1st Cent AD

Con/ The bezel worn from use, otherwise, As Cast and Engraved. Near black patina with bronze high-lights; cleaned, waxed and certainly wearable; better in hand than seen in the photo.

Description/ Diana or Artemis holding bow, standing right, plants and vines to either side; above left, eagle with wings closed; above right, small figure of Victory/Nike.

Seller's Note/ Most likely this ring was used as a signet to seal letters and documents. Rings were made to be worn, not tucked away. The longer this ring is worn the better it will look!
