Ref/ Romano-Celtic Mask Puzzle Padlocks - Group Six Type*

Seller's Note/ Group 6 types are characterized by circular eyes made by a central recessed dot surrounded by a recessed circle. These are referred to as "dice" eyes. The nose on these faces thin and rectangular in shape. The mouth is made by a single horizontal line, the chin by a "V" shape, and recessed lines surmount the forehead. To either sides, vertical lines and below, an inverted "V".

Oh my goodness, such a rare thing! Much too complicated for us to describe in detail, so click the following link: https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/fashion-mystery-roman-puzzle-locks-rings-jewelry-money

The attached photos present an extremely rare complete puzzle padlock. Note the two faces of Janus, the Roman personification of Beginnings and Endings, and Doorways.
