Ave!

Bracelet, Celtic/Romano, Facing Snakes, 4th-1st Cent BC, Uber Rare!

Copper alloy; 71mm/19.4gm

Con/ As Cast and Engraved; perfect and unblemished green patina

Description/ Cast as one long piece at c. 175mm. After cooling, engraved dots were added and then circled to form a bracelet.

Seller's Note/ Yuck, you may think, "Why would anyone wear a snake bracelet? That sounds nasty!" Back in those days, snakes were considered as not just Good Luck, but for their medicinal properties, as well. The two facing snakes are absolutely fantastic and charming, as well. Ground found in a small Celtic settlement south of the Drava river this bracelet is Extremely Rare, trust me!

Last thought for wearing this bracelet - After 2000 years and more, copper alloy becomes brittle and may break under stress. But, as seen in the last photo, Sheri is featured modeling the bracelet without any harm whatsoever. Nice!
