Belt Buckle, Rococo, Curious Design, ca. early 18th Cent.

Copper alloy; Frame 35mm x 28mm / 7.0gm

Con/ Missing prong, otherwise, As Cast & Fabricated; brown patina with earthen fill.

Description/ The odd looking anchor-shaped doodad seen on the reverse was inserted and sewn into the belt leather/fabric, so imagine it as the start of the actual belt.

Seller's Note/ The rococo design is simply charming and was most likely worn by a 'dandy' of the time.
