Ave!

Bracelet, Roman, 1st-3rd Cent AD, Stunning!

Copper alloy; 56mm/9.4gm

Con/ As Cast and Engraved.

Description/ Cast as one long piece at c. 170mm. After cooling, engraved dots and lines were added, and then circled to form a bracelet.

Seller's Note/ Stripped and polished to "like new" condition and wearable! Ground-found in a farmers field, south of the River Drava, near Osijek, Croatia.

Last thought for wearing this bracelet - After 2000 years and more, copper alloy normally becomes brittle and may break under stress. But, in this rare case, the metal is sound as a bell and opens and closes easily with care. Nice!
