Kettle Point Arrowheads, ca. 17th Cent, 2-Pack, Rare!

Seller's Note/ What is a Kettle Point Arrowhead, anyway? They actually began as re-purposed worn out metal trade items, particularly from brass kettles and pots to make their distinctive arrowheads. Hence, their name was known Kettle Point arrowheads. These were later replaced with iron arrowheads and finally firearms. The Hudson Bay Company brought factory-made arrowheads to North America as early as 1671.

Ground-found by metal-detector in the 1970s near Honeoye Falls, New York, and were most likely created by the Seneca Nation peoples.The Seneca historically lived in what is now New York state between the Genesee River and Canandaigua Lake. Our examples have been dated to the 1620's.

Both points have been in the collector's possession until now, and he fervently wishes they will find their way into a museum or an responsible collector's hands and not be lost in time.

Not seen in the photos but the points will come in a 5 inch X 5 inch shadowbox with a stand for easy display!
