Ave!

DIY, Roman Wine Vessel Adornment, c. 1st-3rd Cent

Copper alloy; 48mm/55.8gm!

Con/ A few minor plow nicks, otherwise, As Cast. Green patina and lots of residual original solder on the reverse.

Seller's Note/ Such vine leaves would have been soldered to the sides of a large and ornately decorated bronze bowl used for mixing wine with water, then served to family and guests.

For cleaning, just soft dirt; you know the drill. When done, wax and buff to make it sing.

Calix Meus Inibrians!
