Seleucid, Tryphon, Ibex Horn Helmet Reverse

Æ; 17mm/4.5gm    Antioch on the Orontes mint; ca. 142-138 BC.

Con/ Struck just off-center on the obverse, otherwise, about Extremely Fine. Very sharp image of the helmet, scarce with complete legend! Black patina with earthen fill.

Obv/ Diademed head Tryphon right.

Rev/ BAΣIΛEΩΣ TPYΦΩNOΣ AYTOKPATOPOΣ; spiked Macedonian helmet with cheek guards, adorned with wild ibex horn above visor; AΣK (control mark) to inner left.
