Ave!
Celtic, Ax Pendent, ca. 4th-1st Cent BC
Copper alloy; 33mm/4.6gm
Con/ As Cast; pale unblemished green patina; cleaned and waxed.
Seller's Note/ Most likely this pendent was worn as an amulet or a good luck talisman by a Celtic person of the masculine persuasion. As seen in the photo, the thin attachment hole at the top of the pendent miraculously (and trust me, it is a miracle) remains open and not plow-crushed or broken.
Ground found in a Celtic settlement south of the River Drava, this ancient pendent would be an awesome gift for anyone!
