Seller's Note/ Without any hyperbole this is, without any doubt, one of the finest examples known! But why the bow and quiver tied with a ribbon on the reverse? It has to be an allusion to Artemis the Greek Goddess of the Hunt, famous for her archery skills. Perhaps Artemis and the Amazon Kyme were BFF, but not noted as such in ancient history? Compare this coin with this one as a reference.

In Greek mythology, Amazon Kyme was the legendary founder of the Aeolian city of Kyme in Asia Minor. She is depicted on ancient coins of the city, often shown wearing a headband (taenia) and sometimes accompanied by a horse, a symbol of the city's prosperous horse breeding industry. While the Amazons were a mythical tribe of female warriors, Kyme's story is linked to the city's origin myth, connecting it to this powerful female warrior group
